At 4 Life Fitness Studio, we believe that fitness is the gateway to all that life has to offer. We offer you the opportunity to use fitness training as a catalyst for achieving your goals in life, even if those goals transcend simply getting in shape or losing some weight.

Our training facility is located just outside of Thornblade Club, on The Parkway, in Greenville, South Carolina. Using the latest in equipment and technology, our staff has years of experience in personal training and nutritional coaching.

 

 

Follow these 4 tips to help you get in shape:

1. Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day.  Click here for more information.

Eating 5 or 6 meals a day will boost your metabolism, helping you to burn more calories all day long. It will also help maintain a balanced blood sugar level, preventing hunger attacks. You will also find it easier to build and maintain muscle. The more muscle you develop, the faster your metabolism becomes.

To really burn the fat, you will need to combine this healthy eating plan with cardio work and strength training.

2. Consume water throughout the day.   Click here for more information.
Drinking more water will help you flush water you might be retaining. It will also help you feel more full and therefore eat less. Plus, it is a good habit to get into for the summer!
3. Get aerobic exercise.  Click here for more information.
Thirty minutes a day, five to seven days every week, will help you shed unwanted pounds.

Toning will help you burn even more fat, and shape up those not-quite-ready areas.

Health: the general condition of the body or mind, especially in term of the presence or absence of illness or impairments.

Health is maintained and improved through the efforts and lifestyle choices of the individual. Everyone can improve their health through exercise, getting enough sleep, maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol use and avoiding smoking. For some people this is not any easy thing to do on their own. We can help.

As part of our program, the trainers at 4 Life will monitor your health with regular assessments which include:

  • Blood pressure measurements
  • Weight
  • VO2 Max
  • Flexibility
  • Body fat percentage
  • Body measurements
  • Nutrition analysis

With this information the trainers will be able to track your progress and help you achieve your goals!

 

 

 

 

4 Fitness

Fitness: the state or condition of being fit.

Being physically fit can be achieved through good health especially as a result of exercise and proper nutrition. Finding the time to exercise and eat right are hard to do, especially without guidance. Having the accountability of a scheduled appointment can help you make the time. And because our training is one-on-one, each sessions is customized for your needs. Therefore you will acheive your goals faster than you would in a traditional group fitness session and there is less risk of injury because the trainer knows your limitations and history of injuries. Your trainer will also push you to do more than you would on your own!

 

 

 

 

 

4 Sports

Sports: an organized activity that requires physical exertion, competition and commitment from an individual or a team.

Whether you are a student athlete, amateur or a professional at your chosen sport, our trainers can coach and guide you to reach your full athletic potential through sport specific routines. These routines can and will focus on speed and agility, balance, strength, flexibility, coordination and endurance. This along with proper nutritional guidance will give you an edge in whatever your sport may be: golf, tennis, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball.

 

 

 

 

Life: the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.

Taking care of your physical health is just one of the important areas of life that needs attention to keep you well balanced. However, without physical health other areas of your life will suffer. Being physically fit gives you more energy and mental alertness to help you in all the other areas. We can help you get this physical peice of the pie under control. You don't have to spend hours in the gym to see results. With our program you are commiting to about 50 minutes per session. You will start with a warm up of 10-15 minutes of cardio, then have a 20 minute one-on-one high intensity session with a trainer, followed by another 10-15 minutes of cardio. The number of sessions that you need per week depends on your fitness goals. We can help you set those as well. We do not put you on a crazy fad diet or one that is too hard to stay on. We believe your diet should be well balanced and split into 5 or 6 small meals a day to help you keep your metabolism going. Some people think that you can workout and eat whatever you want. If you workout you may be able to cheat a little every now and then but in order to acheive a healthy heart and body you need to feed it healthy food most of the time.

Jesse Threlkeld

Hi my name is Jesse “JT” Threlkeld.  I am the proud co-owner/general manager of 4 Life Fitness Studio, LLC. I have been in the fitness industry for over 16 years training middle school, high school, college and professional athletes along with men, woman, and children of all ages.  Since 1994 I have managed several area health clubs, and developed and implemented successful fitness programs and training techniques.  I have also owned/managed several General Nutrition Center stores in the Greenville and Greer areas. After a couple of years in the health/ retail business I decided to get back into the physical aspects of  training and began working with players on the PGA, Nationwide and Hooters tours as a golf conditioning specialist, caddy and nutritionist.  After traveling for a few years on tour, I decided it was time to stay and train close to home and enjoy time with my wife, daughter (age 6) and son (age 3).  In my free time I enjoy playing golf, cooking and working out.  I look forward to helping all of you  to achieve all of your health and fitness goals.

Marion Corontzes

Marion Corontzes is one of the newest members of the 4 Life Fitness team. She has been passionate about fitness ever since she started gymnastics at the age of seven. She has been a certified personal trainer for over a year now but is no stranger to the fitness world. She has worked with several Clemson University sports teams and clients of all ages. She believes that balance and variety with fitness, nutrition and all around well-being are the key to a happy and fulfilling life.

Marion and her husband live in Clemson, SC where her husband works as a chef and restaurant owner.  During her time off you can find Marion outdoors biking or enjoying any other outdoor activity.

Tiffany Bruce Nixon

 

Tiffany Bruce has recently joined our team at 4 Life Fitness as the Program Manager and she is a certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance.   She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and became a teacher of the practice in 2009.  Tiffany has taught at various studios in Atlanta, GA has recently relocated back to the Greenville area.  Her classes at 4 Life will be open to All-level students, offering modifications when needed.  Tiffany invites her students to uncover and express their most powerful and authentic self. In every class, Tiffany co-mingles a good playlist with a creative yoga sequence to encourage an atmosphere of playful challenge while allowing students to find comfort in her class.

Tiffany brings to 4 Life an intensive background of teaching yoga but also an inspiration to help expand the mission of 4Life Studio.  She believes strongly that to live a fulfilled and happy life, we must truly find happiness within ourselves.  Tiffany feels this starts by creating a healthy and balanced lifestyle.  She will be joining our team here at 4Life as the Program Manager to offer a variety of fitness classes to members and non-members, to maintain and create corporate wellness programs, as well as becoming one of 4 Life’s personal trainers.  

Tiffany also is a jewelry designer and mother of two boys.  She is quite an outdoor enthusiast and can often be found during her free time biking or running or possibly escaping off to the beach or mountains.
